How did you meet this horse?I sold his mother carrying his older sister, the owners used her for more breeding in Iceland. In June 2020, I took over all 4 of their horses. Know him since he is born and his mum since she is four years old, as well as a huge part of her family from mother and father side.Can you describe the character of this horse?
Lukkuriddari is not trained yet, but it is no problem to take care on his hooves or deworming. In the field he is very calm and loves attention, but he is not in your pocket. He is really curious and social. He was very shy as a young foal, but developed really well to a calm and very friendly young guy.
How long have you had Lukkuriddari?
Almost 1 year now.
What is the most memorable moment together?
When he started being in touch for the first time and being so close and calm, after always wanting to have some metres distance before.
What makes this horse so special?
Lukkuriddari is a big and strong build, but still very modern with a very warm expression in his eyes. He is calm and curious around people and loves attention. He shows himself powerful, but still kind of calm, when he moves. And he comes along with very promising movements, probably a fivegaiter. It looks like he is turning grey, but very very slowly. But I could fall in love each time again with this very soft expression.What is Lukkuriddari best at?
I think Lukkuriddari could step into the footprints of his mothers family, becoming an easy and fun competition horse, also for young riders. His mother was kind of easy, but not a beginners horse. Willing, forward and very good gaits. Same to say about her siblings. He will also make a flashy pleasure horse for someone looking for something special.
Can you sketch the perfect owner for Lukkuriddari?
I would love to see him in ambitious hands in competition and/or breeding. Guess he brings a really good basis that would be worth being encouraged. But I think Lukkuriddari himself would be also very happy in just having a loving home with a lot of fun on trail rides, trick training and what else lights up the world in a happy home.
